Using photos for data-rich documentation
Xpert-Photo is a space-saving, lossless manager for photographic material. The module is used for quick and simple photo viewing, sorting and marking. The Xpert-Photo module’s strengths lie in its extensive options for photo markup and the creation of professional photographic documentation.

Photos

Xpert-Photo is a widely-used solution for the creation of photo documentation.
It manages large volumes of digital photos rapidly and with minimal space requirements. The original image is always preserved unchanged.
Xpert-Photo can be used to create data-rich photo documentation work. This enables professional documentation of the events, giving your client valuable information.



Importing photos

Photos can be imported into the case directly from the camera itself.

During import, photos are rotated automatically according to the data provided by the camera (EXIF).
Xpert3 always preserves the original photo, however!

Viewing and sorting

Once imported, the photos are automatically shown in groups.

Multiple options for sorting are available.
One especially rapid option is the new innovation from Xpert-Soft: the Sort-by-Click® method.
This involves simply clicking the photos in the required order to sort them automatically.
The method is both simple and highly effective for rapidly resorting a sequence of photos in a large volume of images.

Photo markup

Photos can be both captioned and tagged (associated with keywords). Xpert3 provides a full-text search to ensure that every photo can be found when needed.

A wide range of options are available for marking up the photos:
3D arrows, 2D arrows and icons can be placed on photos simply by using drag-and-drop.
In addition, lines and linear dimensions can also be drawn.
By inserting text boxes, the user can add text annotations directly onto the photo.

The Crop functionmakes it possible to extract part of the photo and use it to create an additional image within the photo documentation.

The photo can be restored to its original state at any time.

Exporting the photo documentation

A set of predefined layouts is available for exporting the photo documentation.
An editor is available for adjusting these templates to suit personal requirements.

The basic layout simply specifies the number of photos per row.
This enables photos to be output as a contact sheet.

For a more visually sophisticated photo documentation,
the appropriate layout is selected automatically by photo orientation.

Once ready, the photo documentation can be printed or stored within the case as a PDF file.

Two separate levels of quality can be selected by the user.
At the maximum level, users can zoom into the photos without any loss of quality.
Alternatively, a minimum storage requirement level can be selected to mailan extensive set of photo documentation.

Images and photo documentation can be sent directly from the case by the integrated Email Module(1).
Incoming emails and photo attachments are simply imported directly into the case.
